Lightspeed reservation deposit – terms

The deposit. A reservation deposit of £1,000 (the “Deposit”) is payable to Langen Technology Ltd, trading as Langen Motorcycles (“Langen”). On receipt, Langen allocates you a numbered Lightspeed build slot, in order of deposits received, from a production run limited to 185 motorcycles.
What the Deposit secures. The Deposit secures your place in the build queue and an invitation to a specification session with the Langen team. It does not, on its own, constitute an order for a motorcycle.
Refundable period. The Deposit is fully refundable at any time until all three of the following have occurred: (a) your specification session has been completed; (b) you have signed a Langen sales agreement for the motorcycle; and (c) Langen has commenced manufacture of your motorcycle. Until then, you may request a refund for any reason.
After that point. Once (a), (b) and (c) have all occurred, the Deposit is applied to the purchase price and is governed by the terms of your signed sales agreement, including any cancellation provisions in it.
How to request a refund. Email info@langenmotorcycles.co.uk from the address used at reservation, quoting your name and build slot number. Langen will refund the full Deposit to the original payment method within 14 days of your request. Your build slot is released on refund.
Price. The Lightspeed is priced from £37,000 plus VAT and any applicable local taxes, duties and delivery. The final price depends on the specification you choose and is confirmed in your sales agreement. The Deposit is deducted from the final price.
Delivery and specification. Delivery estimates and market availability are indicative and may change, including for reasons of homologation in your country. Langen may make changes to the specification of the Lightspeed before your sales agreement is signed.
Transfer. Build slots are personal to you and may not be sold or transferred without Langen’s written agreement.
Your rights. These terms do not affect your statutory rights as a consumer. They are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
